Through a wide array of schemes within representational painting and graffiti vernacular I interpret, depict, and decipher the world around and within me. For me the term graffiti is merely a term for the compression of all art forms that ever existed past and present into one paradigm, ranging from early stone and cave paintings morphing into language, elaborate murals to what we now call contemporary art. Graffiti is one of the only art forms that do not emphasize the content the word, but its proportion and movement through space.
I describe through my process and subject matter a new visual physics were the language and tags become the genetic architectural threads coalescing form and movement. I work from memory, direct observation as well as sampling imagery not limiting how my images operate blurring the lines between practices, styles and subjects. Being multiracial my work explores numerous expressions of identity constantly searching for threads of unification. My commitment to multiple painting methods has led me to create a diverse range of artistic arenas, in which these styles combat and peacefully coexist. Half warrior half shaman my work celebrates the organic nature of a marks movement through space.Using the etheric qualities of spray paint juxtaposed with the physical nature of the calligraphic mark my work investigates spatial relationships of form, subject, line, color, and light.
